Progressing this summer!
Workouts are being conducted from 3-5, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the AHS weightroom.  The practices are open to all students at Altha.  Not suprisingly, most of the people who are working out are devoted weightlifters.  Many athletes are not motivated to workout, and their is no specific number of workouts that must be met.  People who come to the weightroom are those who are driven to improve their strength level.  A year or so ago, I developed a progression tower to use in the weightroom to simplify what weights to use.  Since then, we have produced two state champions, 4 state medalists, and a team runner up trophy.  The progression is not magic, but it does seem to work pretty well.  We now predominately use this progression, aka the ironhammer method.
