What is Ironhammer?
Ironhammer is a 405 square foot building where we train. We have a power rack, squat stand, lever machine, preacher curl, row machine, lat pulldown, and bodyweight station and a few dumbbells. We also have strongman equipment outside(tires, steel log, atlas stone, farmers bar, odd stones etc.). We mostly use a set rep system that we refer to as the "progression."
Competitions?
We compete in strongman and powerlifting meets.
Altha Wildcat Weightlifting?
I am the head coach for both the boys and girls weightlifting teams at Altha High School. We compete in girls weightlifting from December to February and boys weightlifting from February to April. We compete in two lifts: the bench press and the clean & jerk. In 2007 we finished state runner up in boys weightlifting. In 2008 we finished 4th in the state as a team. I have had 4 state champions in boys weightlifting and 1 state champion in girls weightlifting. I have had 15 state medalists. As a team we finished runner up at the 2008 Boys Big Bend Meet and 3rd at the 2009 Boys Big Bend Meet. The girls won the 2008 Big Bend Meet.
