Freshman KK Beauchamp had a 105 and 105 to give her a 210 at state. KK suffered from the flu going into the state final. This total should give her the experience she needs going into her sophomore year where she will look to medal. Stephanie Mayo also had a good meet matching her best ever total with a 130 bench press and 135 clean and jerk. Steph should hopefully make the podium next year to gather her first state medal. Time will tell! Seniors, Kaitlyn Penney and Anna Le both had record performances at state. Both proved to be true warriors and have given much to the AHS program. Brigette Utley struggled at state not having her best day, but will be missed at AHS. Brigette finished her career as the record holder in all categories in the 139lb. weight class.
