John Alday capped the most successful weightlifting career ever at AHS by winning his second state title. In only three years of lifting, Alday went from an unknown to one of the few people in history to win multiple state titles. Alday exemplified hard work, but more importantly showed that being consistent pays off. He went about his business from day to day steadily improving. Alday will be hard, if not impossible to replace. Athletes in all sports at AHS would be wise to use Alday as a role model on how to be successful in their athletic endeavors. |
