Senior Michael Mills erased a dissapointing Junior state final by winning the state championship in the 183 pound weight class. Mills performance at state was one for the ages. Mills rose to the occasion and held off several lifters, getting 5 out of 6 lifts on the day. Mills scratched on all of his clean and jerks in 2006 finishing the meet tied for last place with Corey Mcalpin. Mills clean and jerked 305 pounds and bench pressed 325 pounds for a 630 pound total. In the process, he etched his name in the history books as the 2007-183 pound STATE CHAMPION! |
